Corrections and Retractions Policy

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Social, Digital, Creative & Engineering Studies (JISDCES) is committed to upholding the integrity of the scholarly record. In accordance with international publishing standards and ethical guidelines (COPE, ICMJE), we recognize the importance of addressing errors, inaccuracies, or misconduct in published content promptly and transparently.

Corrections

If a published article is found to contain an error that affects its accuracy but does not invalidate its findings or conclusions (e.g., typographical errors, author affiliations, or missing funding details), JISDCES will issue a formal correction notice. This will be:

  • Linked to the original article
  • Indexed and citable
  • Made freely available to all readers

Corrections will be clearly labeled as such and published as soon as reasonably possible after the issue is brought to the attention of the editorial office.

Retractions

A retraction may be issued in cases where:

  • There is clear evidence of plagiarism, data fabrication/falsification, unethical research practices, or serious methodological errors.
  • The conclusions of the article are found to be invalid.
  • The article violates ethical publishing standards or legal requirements (e.g., copyright infringement).

In such cases:

  • The retracted article will remain online for the sake of transparency, clearly watermarked as “Retracted.”
  • A retraction notice will be published and linked to the original article, detailing the reason for retraction.
  • Retractions can be initiated by authors, editors, or institutional representatives.

Author-Initiated Corrections or Withdrawals

Authors may request corrections or withdrawal of their article if they discover critical errors post-publication. JISDCES editorial team will evaluate the request, and in cases where withdrawal is appropriate, a withdrawal statement will be issued.

Maintaining the Scholarly Record

All correction and retraction actions are taken in the interest of preserving the integrity, transparency, and trustworthiness of the academic record. We work closely with indexing databases and repositories to ensure that corrections and retractions are properly reflected across platforms.
