Authors submitting to JISDCES are expected to:
- Ensure that all submitted work is original, accurate, and free from fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism.
- Acknowledge the contributions of all individuals involved in the research by providing proper authorship credit or contributor roles.
- Properly cite all referenced sources that have influenced the research.
- Avoid duplicate submissions—the manuscript must not be under consideration elsewhere.
- Retain and provide raw data or supplementary material when requested by the editorial board for validation purposes.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest and include a formal ethical statement for studies involving human subjects, including approval by relevant ethics committees and consent from participants.
- Notify the editorial office promptly of any errors or significant changes needed in the manuscript, whether before or after publication.
Ethical Guidelines for Editors
Editors at JISDCES are expected to:
- Ensure each manuscript is evaluated fairly and objectively, based solely on academic merit and alignment with journal scope.
- Maintain confidentiality of all submitted material and communications during the peer-review process.
- Provide constructive, unbiased, and professional feedback to authors.
- Avoid conflicts of interest by recusing themselves from handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
- Make timely editorial decisions and ensure the peer-review process progresses without unnecessary delay.
- Ensure compliance with COPE and journal guidelines, especially in cases of suspected ethical misconduct.
Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers
Reviewers contributing to JISDCES are expected to:
- Treat the manuscript and all related communication as strictly confidential.
- Conduct the review process with integrity, fairness, and objectivity.
- Declare any conflicts of interest and decline to review if impartiality cannot be maintained.
- Refrain from using the content of the manuscript for personal or professional gain.
- Provide constructive feedback with clear, evidence-based comments to support editorial decisions.
- Refrain from delegating the review task to a third party without prior approval from the editorial office.
