🧭 Overview
Peer review is a critical quality assurance step that ensures the validity, relevance, and originality of research before publication. At JISDCES, we follow a structured double-blind peer review process to maintain transparency and objectivity while promoting academic rigor across our six interdisciplinary sections.
🔄 Standard Review Workflow
Total Duration: Typically Completed Within 14–21 Days
- Initial Editorial Screening (1–3 Days)
Each submission undergoes an internal check for originality, relevance, and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts not meeting basic standards may be returned for revisions at this stage.
- Assignment to Expert Reviewers (Within 3 Days)
The manuscript is assigned to 2–3 expert reviewers in the relevant field. Additional reviewers may be invited based on the complexity of the topic.
- Peer Review Evaluation (Up to 7 Days)
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s clarity, methodology, originality, significance, and ethical standards. They provide constructive feedback and a recommendation: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
- Editorial Decision & Author Notification (1–2 Days)
Based on reviewer input, the editorial team communicates the decision and shares detailed feedback with the author.
- Author Revision (7–30 Days)
Authors are given time to revise their manuscript. Minor revisions may take a week, while major revisions can extend up to a month depending on the complexity.
- Re-review of Revised Manuscript (Optional, Within 5–10 Days)
If needed, revised manuscripts are sent back to original reviewers for final assessment to ensure recommendations were adequately addressed.
- Final Decision & Acceptance (2–3 Days)
Upon satisfactory revision, the manuscript receives final approval and is sent to production.
- Online First Publication (Within 3–5 Days)
Accepted manuscripts are published online in the “Online First” section for immediate visibility and citation.
