At the Journal of Interdisciplinary Social, Digital, Creative & Engineering Studies (JISDCES), we are committed to fostering a research culture rooted in ethical integrity, academic responsibility, and global transparency. Given the journal’s wide interdisciplinary scope—spanning social sciences, digital innovation, creative practices, and engineering—we uphold internationally recognized ethical standards in both research and publishing.

1. Author Responsibilities

  • All submissions must be original, free from plagiarism, data fabrication, and redundant publication.
  • Proper attribution must be given through accurate citations, permissions for copyrighted materials, and acknowledgment of funding sources.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research or interpretation of results.
  • In studies involving human participants, informed consent and appropriate ethics committee/IRB approval must be documented.
  • Authors are expected to retain original data for editorial review and post-publication validation if requested.

2. Data Accuracy & Integrity

  • Data presented must be collected, analyzed, and reported honestly. Any falsification, manipulation, or selective omission of results constitutes unethical behavior.
  • Authors should make their data openly accessible where applicable, or clearly justify any restrictions due to privacy, security, or proprietary concerns.

3. Human & Animal Studies

  • Research involving human subjects must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and obtain informed consent.
  • Studies involving animals must adhere to internationally accepted guidelines (such as ARRIVE or institutional equivalents) and demonstrate efforts to reduce harm.
  • Authors must clearly state the ethical approval obtained and the approving authority's name in the manuscript.

4. Plagiarism & Redundant Publication

  • JISDCES uses plagiarism detection tools (e.g., iThenticate) to screen all manuscripts.
  • Manuscripts must not have been published or submitted elsewhere in part or whole. Exceptions (e.g., preprints) should be disclosed.

5. Editorial & Peer Review Ethics

  • All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity and fairness.
  • Reviewers are expected to:
    • Maintain confidentiality.
    • Declare conflicts of interest.
    • Provide constructive, unbiased, and timely feedback.
  • Editors must:
    • Make publication decisions based on academic merit alone.
    • Avoid conflicts of interest in the handling of manuscripts.
    • Take corrective actions in the case of ethical breaches, including retractions or corrections where necessary.

6. Corrections, Retractions & Complaints

  • JISDCES is committed to correcting the scholarly record. If post-publication issues are identified:
    • Corrections will be issued for honest errors.
    • Retractions may occur in cases of misconduct or invalidated data.
    • Authors and readers may raise concerns through the Editorial Office at any time.

7. Ethical Oversight & Accountability

We encourage transparency and accountability at all levels—authors, reviewers, editors, and readers.

Any potential ethical misconduct should be reported to: [email protected]. Reports will be treated confidentially and handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.
