Bakhtiyor Khuzhayorov
Summary
Bakhtiyor Khuzhayorov is a Professor and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Head of the Mathematical Modeling Department at Samarkand State University, Uzbekistan. He received his PhD in Fluid and Gas Mechanics from the Azerbaijan State Oil and Gas Academy and his Doctor of Sciences degree from Tyumen State University, Russia.
Professor Khuzhayorov has more than five decades of academic and research experience in applied mathematics, fluid mechanics, and porous media modeling. His research focuses on filtration of non-homogeneous liquids, transport phenomena in porous and fractured media, anomalous fluid flow, numerical methods, inverse problems, and oil and gas recovery processes. He is the author of over 400 scientific publications, including influential monographs and papers in leading international journals.
He has held numerous senior academic and administrative positions, including Director of the Research Institute of Regional Problems of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the Samarkand Division of the Academy of Sciences. Professor Khuzhayorov has supervised dozens of undergraduate, master’s, PhD, and doctoral students and continues to serve on editorial boards and scientific councils at national and international levels.
